Learning to do something is frequently the easier part. Doing it well takes the effort. A year on the road taught me a lot, and also let me know how much more I needed to experience. It seemed we were settling into the job, getting the routine down, and becoming comfortable with the demands. Many things that worried me a year ago were now dismissed with a casual wave of my hand. The stress level was lower and I was relaxing. My confidence was growing. I began to wonder when the adventures would stop, when the job would get blasé, when I would get bored. It hasn't happened yet.
